Popular Attractions in Seattle

You should give buying a city pass serious consideration if you’re planning a trip to Seattle, Washington, and you’ll be staying there for a few days. With this pass, you can visit a number of the more well-known attractions in this wonderful city for a fraction of the regular cost. You will be able to use the city’s Metro system during the day (6 am to 7 pm daily). This pass gives you access to a variety of activities during your stay and is valid for nine days after the first use.

These passes’ first activity is a trip to the Museum of Flight. As the evolution of flight is brought to life before your very eyes, marvel in awe. This museum has something for every child in your group, both big and small, from a tour of the original Air Force one to flight simulators of contemporary jet flights. Enjoy the numerous exhibits and fun family activities offered here as you learn about the history of civil and military flight in our nation. It is well worth a visit and something I would suggest even if it weren’t included in the pass.

The next activity on this schedule is the Seattle Harbour tour. Your trip to Seattle will likely be made even more memorable by taking this tour, which is provided by Argosy Cruises. If not a highlight, it might have given you the motivation you needed to try some of Argosy’s more complex tours. This tour, which lasts about an hour, takes you around the bay and highlights some of the breathtaking scenery that surrounds Seattle. You do have the choice to pay more to upgrade your cruise to one of the others that Argosy offers. I advise starting with a shorter cruise if you’ve never been on open water to test your sea legs (and stomach) before going on a longer or dinner cruise.

The following is a favourite among kids of all ages—yes, parents count, too. We are visiting the Woodland Park Zoo. This zoo has won accolades for its natural-looking exhibits, which also delight visitors. More than lions, tigers, and bears can be found at this zoo. This zoo has a lot to offer any family willing to make a day of it, and I highly suggest that you do just that. While you’re there, you might want to walk over to the rose garden next door (it’s free and quite lovely) and take in the beauty and fragrance the roses have to offer.

The Pacific Science Centre comes next. The Pacific Science Centre is a really entertaining place to visit, with everything from video games and laser shows to fascinating science exhibits. While you’re there, you might want to see what’s playing in the IMAX theatre. The permanent exhibits include a Mesozoic-era dinosaur display, a tropical butterfly house, an insect village, and a saltwater tide pool where kids can get up close and personal with a variety of Puget Sound animals.

The Seattle Aquarium is the last, and it really doesn’t need to be explained. Discover the many salt- and fresh-water creatures that can be found in and around the Puget Sound, as well as life beneath the sea. I almost guarantee that everyone in your group will consider this to be a high point.
