Significant Drug Interdiction A targeted investigation into narcotics trafficking led Seattle police to a major discovery in the Lake City neighborhood. During a strategic operation on Tuesday, officers successfully intercepted a substantial cache of illegal substances, dealing a significant blow to local drug distribution networks.
Details of the Seizure According to the Seattle Police Department, the search resulted in the recovery of approximately 42,000 fentanyl pills. In addition to the synthetic opioids, law enforcement seized:
- Over two pounds of methamphetamine.
- Significant quantities of cocaine and heroin.
- Two handguns, one of which was identified as stolen.
- A large sum of cash believed to be proceeds from illegal sales.
Suspects in Custody Two individuals, a 31-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, were arrested at the scene. Both suspects were booked into the King County Jail on charges related to the possession and intent to distribute controlled substances, as well as firearms violations.
