A male employee of the Skykomish School District was taken into custody during school hours last week following allegations of child rape.
According to authorities, the staff member was arrested on campus and subsequently booked into the King County Jail. The investigation is currently being led by detectives from the King County Sheriff’s Office Special Assault Unit.
In a statement regarding the incident, the Skykomish School District emphasized that, based on current information, there are no other known victims. The district is cooperating fully with law enforcement as the investigation proceeds.
The identity of the staff member has not yet been officially released as the legal process moves forward.
