Seattle Police Investigate Late-Night Shooting in Rainier Beach Neighborhood

Authorities in Seattle are searching for answers following a shooting that broke out late Tuesday night in the Rainier Beach area.

Officers were dispatched to the scene near the intersection of South Henderson Street and Rainier Avenue South after receiving reports of gunfire shortly before midnight. Upon arrival, police discovered evidence of a shooting, including several spent shell casings, though no victims were located at the immediate site.

A short time later, a man arrived at a nearby hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. Investigators have confirmed that his injuries are connected to the incident in Rainier Beach. While the victim is receiving medical treatment, his current condition has not been publicly released.

Detectives from the Seattle Police Department’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit are leading the investigation. As of Wednesday morning, no suspects have been taken into custody, and the motive behind the violence remains unclear.
