Seattle’s dining scene is reaching new heights with the upcoming opening of Solette, a sprawling rooftop restaurant and lounge located in the heart of South Lake Union. Scheduled to open this summer, the venue will occupy a massive 6,500-square-foot space on the 13th floor of the Level Hotel at 110 Boren Avenue North.
Elevated Dining Experience:
- Scale and Scope: With 225 seats, Solette is poised to become one of Seattle’s largest rooftop destinations. The layout features both indoor and outdoor terraces designed to offer an “upscale-casual” atmosphere rather than formal fine dining.
- The View: Guests will be treated to sweeping, iconic views of the Space Needle and Puget Sound, making it a prime spot for both locals and tourists.
- The Menu: Led by Executive Chef Pierre Tumlin—formerly of The Lodge at St. Edward State Park—the kitchen will focus on approachable, chef-driven American cuisine. Expect a diverse selection ranging from sushi and pasta to steaks, burgers, and craft cocktails.
A Strategic Addition to South Lake Union: The project is a collaboration with Onni, a real estate development firm based in Vancouver, B.C. Onni representatives noted that the concept was inspired by their successful properties in Chicago, emphasizing that a vibrant restaurant is the ultimate amenity for a modern urban building.
The Level Hotel, which opened in 2022 and features apartment-style suites and luxury amenities like multiple swimming pools, will house the restaurant adjacent to its 13th-floor pool deck. While the hotel caters to long-term guests and travelers, Solette is intended to be a welcoming gathering space for the entire Seattle community.
