Half-Dozen Teens Arrested After High-Speed Pursuit Ends Violent Multi-City Crime Spree

A group of six teenagers is in custody following a chaotic night of violence and theft that spanned multiple cities in Kitsap County. The crime spree, which included armed carjackings and a robbery, ended in a dramatic police chase and a foot pursuit in Bremerton.

Timeline of the Spree:

  • The Beginning: The incident began late on the night of April 9, 2026, when several teens reportedly assaulted a driver and stole their vehicle in Port Orchard.
  • Escalation: Within the hour, the group was linked to an armed robbery at a convenience store and a second attempted carjacking. Witnesses described the suspects as being armed with handguns and acting with “extreme aggression.”
  • The Chase: Bremerton Police spotted the stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver sped off, leading officers on a high-speed pursuit through residential neighborhoods. The chase ended when the suspects’ vehicle crashed near a local park.
  • The Arrests: Following the crash, the six suspects—ranging in age from 14 to 17—fled into a wooded area. With the help of K-9 units and a King County Sheriff’s Office helicopter (Guardian One), all six were located and apprehended without further incident.

Legal Consequences: Authorities recovered two firearms from the scene, one of which had been reported stolen. The teenagers are facing a litany of felony charges, including:

  • First-degree Robbery
  • Armed Carjacking
  • Felony Eluding
  • Illegal Possession of a Firearm

The Kitsap County Prosecutor’s Office is currently reviewing the case to determine if any of the older teens will be charged as adults. Local law enforcement noted that this incident is part of a concerning uptick in organized juvenile crime involving stolen vehicles and firearms in the Puget Sound region.
