Seattle’s long-standing cultural staple, the Bumbershoot Arts & Music Festival, has officially unveiled its musical roster for 2026. The 53rd annual event is set to return to the Seattle Center campus over Labor Day weekend, September 5–6, promising a weekend filled with diverse sounds and multidisciplinary art.
Leading the charge this year are hometown indie legends Death Cab for Cutie and the high-energy hardcore group Turnstile. The lineup also features a broad array of acclaimed acts, including Japanese Breakfast, Blood Orange, and Orville Peck. Fans can expect a mix of genres spanning from the punk-rock roots of Bikini Kill to the electronic beats of Chase & Status and the hip-hop legacy of De La Soul.
Beyond the stages, organizers are emphasizing Bumbershoot’s identity as a “full-spectrum artistic playground.” This year’s programming will include a heavy focus on visual arts, immersive installations, fashion showcases, and experimental performances like wrestling matches, puppet shows, and skateboarding takeovers.
A notable update for 2026 is the introduction of several fan-focused amenities. For the first time, the festival will feature a “Sip & Stroll” experience, allowing attendees to carry beverages throughout the grounds rather than being restricted to specific beer gardens. Additionally, the festival has restructured its ticketing, offering General Admission, GA with re-entry privileges, and Deluxe tiers.
In keeping with its community-oriented mission, children 12 and under will still be admitted free when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Tickets are expected to go on sale to the general public starting May 1, as Seattle prepares for another “wonderfully weird” celebration of the Pacific Northwest’s creative spirit.
